NGA X ETHEL CARRICK & ANNE DANGAR

Ethel Carrick & Anne Dangar - currently exhibiting at the National Gallery of Australia. These simultaneous exhibitions are part of Know My Name, the National Gallery’s initiative to celebrate the work of female artists. As their extraordinary contributions to art are explored and celebrated. This program highlights their invaluable contributions to Australia’s cultural life, fostering a deeper appreciation and understanding of their artistic legacies.

Ethel Carrick dazzled with her mastery of colour and post-impressionist techniques, pushing Australian art into bold new territories. Her adventurous life and international influence are celebrated in this must-see retrospective.
Anne Dangar, a pioneer of modern Australian art, lived and worked in France alongside European cubists. Her innovative spirit and dedication to abstraction left an indelible mark on the course of Australian art history.

In collaboration with the National Gallery of Australia we produced the artist merchandise that highlights key artworks from both Ethel Carrick & Anne Dangar, the range includes:

A digitally printed 14oz cotton canvas tote bag featuring Ethel Carrick’s, Esquisse en Australie (detail) 1908. The tote also features contrast coloured shoulder straps and an internal slip pocket.

 
 
 
 
 
 

1000 piece jigsaw puzzle features artwork Christmas Day on Manly Beach (Manly Beach - Summer is here), 1934 sized at 70cm x 50cm.

Presented in a sturdy box, the puzzle pieces are packed in a reusable NGA cotton zipper bag.

We produced two 160 page blank notebooks that feature two digitally printed artworks of Ethel Carrick, Provençal landscape (detail) and The quay at Dinard (detail) 1911-12. Both notebooks are produced with elastic closure, ribbon bookmark and an expandable inner back pocket.

 

The Artist Tote showcases Anne Dangar’s iconic plate series, digitally printed on both sides of 14oz organic cotton canvas. The front features Plate, 1930–38, while the back displays Plate with Celtic-style Decoration, 1930–1950.

We created a set of tea towels showcasing Anne Dangar's drawings from her stock book. The two designs feature digitally printed details of the following artworks: Drawings of three ceramic designs (detail), Drawings of six jugs (detail) Drawings of three pits with lids (detail) Drawings of seven large water jugs (detail), Drawings of eleven small water jugs (detail) and Drawings of seventeen small water jugs (detail), in stock book, 1930’s

An additional tea towel featuring artwork from Gouache (detail), 1936, was also created as part of the merchandise range, adding depth to the collection.

Expanding the collection of soft accessories and gifting, we also created a silk scarf featuring the digitally printed artwork Gouache (detail), 1936. Measuring 65cm x 65cm, the scarf is finished with hand-rolled edges for a luxe feel.
