ACMI 20TH ANNIVERSARY
ACMI celebrates 20 years, originally formed as the State Film Centre of Victoria, it was reincarnated in 2002 as the Australian Centre for the Moving Image. The building was further re-shaped and reinvigorated with the opening of a flagship ongoing exhibition Screen Worlds in 2009 and has re-emerged in 2021 as a multiplatform museum. Located in Melbournes Federation Square, ACMI plays an integral role in Melbourne’s art and film industry.
As part of the 20th Anniversary, we produced an anniversary tote bag and candle sold exclusively through ACMI online.

Packaging
In celebration of 20 years of ACMI, we produced a soy-waxed candle that evokes the smell and memories of old movie theatres. Using Australian eucalyptus, along with notes of cedar wood, clove, leather, musk, and leather.
Each candle was hand-poured in Victoria, in a reusable ceramic vessel. In lieu of traditional box packaging, we developed a reusable round cotton drawstring bag with logo printed
Paired with the candle, we produced a custom tote, made from a heavy-weight 14oz Cotton canvas. The bag features a wide gusset, an internal slip pocket and an embroidered 20th Anniversary logo, developed by ACMI with 20 repeating logos.
