Lil'Stones Packaging
Lil’Stones presents a brand-new approach to transforming digital images into tangible keepsakes. Departing from the traditional framed photo, Lil’Stones uses a stone composite to create little sculptures, and the image is printed directly onto the face of their unique forms.
Being an e-commerce business, with a focus on gifting, our brief was to create a structural packaging system that elevated the unboxing experience. It needed to be plastic-free and scalable, and it needed to protect the precious ‘Stones within.
We designed three custom boxes, one single and two three-packs in two sizes, plus a custom protective e-commerce shipper for each box.
The uniqueness of Lil'Stones is tied to their form. We have celebrated this in all aspects of the packaging beginning with the triangular shaped boxes, a nod to the keepsake’s within.

By pulling the custom woven tag, featuring the Lil’Stones shape, a glimpse of the ‘Stones is revealed within through the die-cut apertures of the protective insert—also doubling as the care card.
The Lil‘Stones are nested in the shadow box presentation, individually housed in a moulded 3D form designed entirely by card.
Outer triangular shippers add further protection and can be stacked and taped into larger configurations reducing the need for further packaging.
